Keywords: writing, descriptive essays, local wisdom, and field trip methods This research aims to describe (1) Describe and explain the application of learning to write descriptive essays based on local wisdom using the field trip method for fifth grade students at SDN 2 Pupus, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025 (2) Describe and explain the learning outcomes of the application of learning write descriptive essays based on local wisdom using the field trip method for class V students at SDN 2 Pupus, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The technique used to analyze data in this research is the interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of this research are (1) the implementation of learning to write descriptive essays based on local wisdom using the field trip method for class V students at SDN 2 Pupus, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency for the 2024/2025 academic year went as planned; (2) application of learning to write descriptive essays based on local wisdom using the field trip method for class V students at SDN 2 Pupus, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency for the 2024/2025 academic year in learning to write descriptive essays.
