Abstract
This research is motivated by the issue of students' poor poster-writing abilities at SDN Kambeng, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency. Both the advancement of educational technology and students' poster-writing abilities are still lacking in terms of inspiring creativity for posters. Seeing this reality, the author intends to conduct research on poster writing learning by implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model and Canva Media. This study aims to determine and describe the implementation of learning and improving poster writing activities, student activity and the advantages and disadvantages of using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model and Canva media. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two stages, namely cycle I and cycle II. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and test techniques. The test technique is in the form of poster writing skills test results and non-tests are in the form of student activity data from observations and interviews. This study use qualitative data analysis technique. Both techniques are analyzed by comparing the results of cycle I and cycle II tests. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model and Canva media, the Project Based Learning model and Canva media can improve the ability to write posters in grade V students of SDN Kambeng, Slahung District. This increase can be seen from the results of the final test of cycle I and the final test of cycle II. The results of the final test of cycle I show that in cycle 1 data, the value of the performance indicator of the ability to write posters on the assessment sheet with a value of 70.83 reached a value of 83.33 or ≥80% and the average individual student score was 83.33 or ≥ 75 in cycle II. The percentage of student learning outcome completion only reached 50% while in the research action, especially in cycle II, it reached 83.33%. Based on the reflection of the analysis of observation data, student activity increased from a score of 12 in cycle I to 14 in cycle II or from 72.98% in cycle I to 90.63% in cycle II. Then, teacher activity also increased from 65% in cycle I to 75% in cycle II or from 77.38% in cycle I to 89.29% in cycle II.
