Abstract

Nadya Riski Agustina. 2024. Application of the PjBL Learning Model to Improve Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes for Class V Elementary School. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Cerianing Putri Pratiwi., M.Pd and Supervisor (II) Vivi Rulviana., M.Pd This model focuses on the relevance of content to real life, inviting students to explore significant and authentic problems in real contexts, thereby increasing their learning motivation. Project based learning (PjBL) is a learning model recommended in the 2013 curriculum. The objectives of this research are 1.) Find out how to apply the PjBL (Project-based Learning) learning model in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes at elementary school level. 2.) Find out how to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes through the PjBL model. This research is classroom action research (PTK) carried out using cycle and recycling techniques. Each cycle consists of several steps including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were students in class V of SDN 5 Baosan Kidul, totaling 19 boys, 8 and 11 girls. Data sources come from teachers, students and the learning process. Data collection techniques use test techniques, observation, interviews, documentation. The results of the research show that: (1) Student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning have increased which can be seen from the learning outcomes in each cycle. This is due to the use of learning models that suit students' needs. (2) In the Pre-Cycle, initial learning results show the teacher's failure to implement learning. The average class score is only 78% with a Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) score of 75, with only 7 students completing the learning outcomes and 12 students completing the study results. Cycle 1, the teacher changes the assisted learning model by using the PjBL learning model. In the cognitive domain, an average score was obtained with a completeness percentage of 78%. With complete learning results, there were 8 students who had not completed it, there were 11 students. In the affective domain, an average of 67% was obtained, in the psychomotor domain, an average of 73% was obtained. The learning outcomes in cycle II experienced a significant increase from cycle 1, obtaining a cognitive score with an average of 88 and a completion percentage of 87%. Based on the results of the completed study, there were 17 students, 2 students had not completed it. In the affective domain, students experienced a very good change in attitude from cycle 1, reaching an average of 91, with a completion percentage of 100.
