Abstract
This research aims to develop effective digital-based learning media in PPKn learning to foster the character of mutual cooperation and tolerance in class 7A students at SMP Negeri 3 Magetan. In this research, researchers developed e-comic-based digital learning media with the aim of making it easier for students to understand the importance of instilling character, especially the character of mutual cooperation and tolerance. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE research model (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) which is used as a cycle or process in developing e-comic-based digital learning media. Data collection techniques include the results of interviews, observation, documentation, questionnaires and test sheets. The result of this research is that the development of e-comic learning media obtained validation results from learning experts of 75% with the appropriate category, then obtained an average student response score of 75.35% with a very practical category for use in PPKn learning. After conducting product trials, researchers obtained student character questionnaire scores of 84.59% with categories based on N-Gain including the effective category for cultivating the character of mutual cooperation and tolerance in students. The effectiveness of e-comic products was also obtained from the pretest and posttest results which obtained an average percentage score of 63% with the N-Gain category being quite effective.
