Abstract

This research aims to develop a module based on OASIS (Orientation, Analyze, Synthesis, Investigation, and Synergy) to improve high-order thinking skills. The developed module focuses on improving students' skills in high-level thinking. The subjects of this study were grade X students of one of the schools in Madiun City. This study used development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The method used in this research was pre-test and post-test assessment. Module validation was obtained from several aspects, namely validity, practicality and efficiency. OASIS assessment and product presentation are assessed from the aspects of module design, content design and usefulness. Based on the results of the validation of the validity of the developed learning module, a percentage of 85% was obtained with fairly valid criteria (with minimal revision) and the practicality of the module was 77% with a practical level, and the media value obtained was a content validity index (CVI) of 1 at a very feasible level. The t test is carried out after the data is said to be normal and homogeneous, in the test using a paired-sample t-test which states the Sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. The significant number is smaller than alpha, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, therefore there is a difference in students' high-level thinking skills before and after using the OASIS-based module. The N-Gain results in the small class test obtained an N-Gain of 0.55 at a medium level and from the pretest-posttest it was obtained 0.63 at a medium level (higher level thinking skills increased). Thus, the learning module that has been developed is worthy of being used as teaching materials in physics learning on electric current material and is able to improve students' high-order thinking skills.
