Abstract
This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Jonggrang 2, Kabupaten Magetan, shown by a lack of confidence, fluency, and vocabulary mastery in oral expression. The objective is to improve speaking skills through a collaborative, podcast-based learning model. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were fifth-grade students. Data were collected through speaking performance tests, observation sheets on collaborative activities, and field notes, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate that students' speaking skills improved meaningfully, reflected in increased self-confidence, smoother delivery, better pronunciation accuracy, and broader vocabulary use. Collaborative activities among students also showed positive progress, contributing to the quality of discussions and resulting podcast productions. The achievement of performance indicators by the end of the cycles exceeded the established minimum mastery criteria. In conclusion, collaborative podcast-based learning is effective and can serve as an innovative alternative for enhancing speaking skill in elementary school, particularly in Indonesian language instruction.
