This study aimed to improve the poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Losari, Ploso, Jombang through the use of picture media assisted by keywords. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 28 fourth-grade students, and the data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings revealed that the use of picture media assisted by keywords effectively improved students' poetry writing skills, as indicated by the increase in learning mastery from 21.43% in the pre-cycle to 67.86% in Cycle I and 85.71% in Cycle II. Students' learning activities also improved from an average of 76.12% in Cycle I to 89.51% in Cycle II. Therefore, picture media assisted by keywords proved to be effective in improving the poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Losari, Ploso, Jombang.
