Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious values reflected in the characterization of "Eyang Palang" within the Dongkrek performance, to describe the nature of this characterization, and to explain the process of internalizing these religious values among students participating in the Dongkrek extracurricular program at SMP Negeri 1 Mejayan. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. Data analysis involved the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the religious values reflected in the "Eyang Palang" characterization include religious devotion, wisdom, patience, noble character, responsibility, social concern, and respect for others. The characterization of "Eyang Palang" portrays a figure who is religious, wise, patient, authoritative, and socially conscious. Diana Ariswanti T The findings demonstrate that the Dongkrek extracurricular activity plays a significant role in shaping the religious character of the participants through the medium of local culture.
