Abstract
Observations conducted at SDN Jiwan 02 indicate that IPAS instruction still relies heavily on lecture methods and limited use of textbooks; consequently, student engagement is suboptimal, and understanding of the material regarding plant body parts has not fully developed. These issues stem from: 1) teacher-centered instruction using lectures, 2) a lack of learning media capable of presenting material visually and interactively, and 3) the characteristics of elementary students—who are in the concrete operational stage—requiring tangible and meaningful learning experiences. This study employs Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed product is a digital flipbook based on the Project-Based Learning model, designed for the Grade IV IPAS subject, specifically covering the topic of plant body parts. Validation results showed feasibility scores of 85.42% from the media expert, 92.31% from the subject matter expert, and 85.42% from the language expert, yielding an overall average of 87.72%, which falls into the "highly feasible" category. Trial results showed a teacher response rate of 93.75% and a student response rate of 96.88%, both of which fall into the "highly feasible" category. These results demonstrate that the Project-Based Learning-based digital flipbook is suitable for use as an IPAS learning medium to support Grade IV students' understanding of plant body parts.
