Abstract
APPLICATION OF AN EXPLORATIVE STRATEGY OF ENVIRONMENTAL UTILIZATION IN LEARNING FREE-POEM WRITING FOR GRADE V STUDENTS OF SDN DOHO, DOLOPO DISTRICT, MADIUN REGENCY, 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR By RISKA AYU ADMININGDYAH RAHMAWATI This study aims to implement an exploratory strategy of environmental utilization in learning free-poem writing in grade V students of SDN Doho, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency. The method used in this study was classroom action research (CAR) with a cyclical design. The subjects were 22 grade V students of SDN Doho. The research process was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the application of an exploratory strategy of environmental utilization can improve students' ability to write free-poem. Students demonstrated significant improvements in creativity, language use, and depth of meaning in the poems they wrote. Furthermore, learning by utilizing the surrounding environment also increased students' active participation and motivation in learning. This research is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in designing more innovative and contextual learning strategies. The conclusion of this study is that implementing an exploratory strategy utilizing the environment in free-verse writing lessons can improve students' creativity and writing skills.
