Abstract
Abstract Yayuk Tri Wahyuni. 2026. The Influence of the Storytelling Learning Model and Self-Confidence on the Storytelling Ability of Phase C Students at Public Elementary Schools in Setono Village, Ngrambe District, Ngawi Regency. Thesis. Madiun: Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, S.S., M.Pd., (II) Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan¬¬, M.Pd. Keywords: Storytelling, Self-Confidence, Storytelling Ability This study aims to obtain a clear description of Storytelling skill learning through the Storytelling learning model by utilizing supporting media among Phase C students at public elementary schools in Setono Village, Ngrambe District. The research employed a quantitative correlational causal method. The data sources consisted of informants, events, and documents. The informants in this study were the school principal, teachers, and Phase C students. The events observed included all forms of learning activities conducted in the classroom. The documents comprised teaching modules, research instruments, and documentation. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. Data validity was tested using a correlation validity test with the SPSS 30 application. The results showed that the Storytelling learning model had a significant effect on students’ Storytelling ability, as indicated by a t-value of 4.621 with a significance value of 0.001. In addition, self-confidence also had a significant effect on students’ Storytelling ability, with a t-value of 2.259 and a significance value of 0.001. These findings indicate that the Storytelling learning model and self-confidence have a positive and significant influence on the Storytelling ability of elementary school students.
