Keywords: writing, narrative, guided question technique, and image media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of guided question technique through image media can improve learning to write narrative paragraphs of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Tugurejo, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Tugurejo, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to write narrative paragraphs using guided question technique through image media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) there is an increase in narrative paragraph writing skills using guided question technique through image media in fifth grade students of SDN 2 Tugurejo, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency. This is proven by the learning process of narrative paragraph writing skills using guided question techniques through image media, namely: (1) the intensive process of internalizing the growth of students' interest in writing narrative paragraphs, (2) the conduciveness of the discussion process to determine the elements contained in narrative paragraphs, (3) the intensiveness of the process of students writing narrative paragraphs using guided question techniques through image media, (4) whether or not the conditions of students are conducive during the process of editing narrative paragraphs, (5) the creation of a reflective atmosphere so that students can realize deficiencies during the learning process and know what to do after the learning process, and (2) The learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Tugurejo, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency in writing narrative paragraphs increased after participating in learning using guided question techniques through image media. The improvement in narrative paragraph writing skills was seen in the test and non-test results. The test results showed an average class score in cycle I of 67.27 with a sufficient category. In cycle II, the average student score in writing narrative paragraphs increased to 78.57 with a good category, all students also achieved the research target of 75. This shows an increase in the average score of fifth-grade students with learning to write narrative paragraphs with guided question techniques through image media was successful.
