Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the application of the example non-example learning model can improve the speaking skills of class II students of SDN 1 Munung, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of class II students of SDN 1 Munung, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency in speaking learning using the example non-example learning model. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the example non-example learning model can improve the speaking skills of class II students of SDN 1 Munung, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency. This is evidenced by the teacher's activity during learning in cycle I, meeting 1, obtained a percentage of 83.33%, then at meeting 2 it increased to 91.67%. Teacher activity during learning in cycle II, meeting 1 obtained a percentage of 100% and at meeting 2 it obtained a percentage of 100%. Student learning activities during learning in cycle I, meeting 1 obtained a percentage of 66.66%, then at meeting 2 it increased to 91.67%. Student learning activities during learning in cycle II meeting 1 obtained a percentage of 91.67% and in meeting 2 obtained a percentage of 100%, and (2) the learning outcomes of class II students of SDN 1 Munung, Jatikalen District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to speak using the example non-example learning model are known that the results of completion in the pre-cycle were 20%, completion in the example model cycle I was 58.33% and increased in cycle II by 87.5% and success had reached ≥ 85%. Completeness in the non-example model cycle I was 33.33% and increased in cycle II by 83.33%.
