Keywords: writing, narrative, methods, role playing and visual media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the role playing method assisted by visual media in narrative learning for Grade VI students of Wedoro I Elementary School, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency, (2) what problems arise in the application of the role playing method assisted by visual media in narrative writing learning for Grade VI students of Wedoro I Elementary School, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency, and (3) What solutions are provided in the application of the role playing method assisted by visual media in narrative writing learning for Grade VI students of Wedoro I Elementary School, Sugihwaras District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The results of this study are: (1) the planning of learning narrative text writing skills using the role playing method with visual media was carried out by the teacher well and efficiently, because the teacher made the learning plan in advance. Learning planning in this case includes teaching modules, teaching materials, learning methods and media, Student Worksheets (LKPD) and enrichment, (2) Problems that arise in the implementation of the role playing method are limited facilities (no permanent LCD/projector), class management (students are noisy during discussions), low student language skills, lack of intensive control, psychological factors (lack of self-confidence). (3) Solutions found in this study include the use of personal devices for video, division into small groups for management, and intensive guidance from teachers as facilitators. In theory, this solution supports the recommendations of the Independent Curriculum for differentiated and project based learning, although it requires further infrastructure support.
