Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor I) Prof. Dr. Bambang Eko Hari Cahyono, M.Pd; (II) Dwi Rosita Sari., M.Pd., Ph.D Keywords: writing, nonfiction, field trips, and video media This research aims to describe (1) the application of the field trip method assisted by video media in learning to write nonfiction texts for class VI students at SDN 3 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency, (2) the advantages found in the application of the field trip method assisted by video media in learning to write nonfiction texts class VI students at SDN 3 Klodan, Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency, (3) weaknesses found in the application of the field trip method assisted by video media in learning to write nonfiction texts for class VI students at SDN 3 Klodan Ngetos District, Nganjuk Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The technique used to analyze data in this research is the interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The conclusions of this research are (1) The application of the field trip method with video media in learning to write nonfiction texts is that it is able to create a new, enjoyable learning atmosphere for students so that learning is more interesting and enjoyable, (2) The advantage of the film trip method with video media is that the teacher and students in carrying out learning to write nonfiction texts, namely (1) students can learn directly in the field so that the knowledge gained is real, alive, meaningful and comprehensive, and (3) The weakness of the field trip method with this media is that the teacher has a commitment to guide the students. students during learning, especially encouraging students to dare to express their opinions critically. Ideally, schools have an LCD to present student responses and assessments, but in this school it is not available. So researchers must make their own efforts to provide the equipment so that activities can run smoothly.
