Abstract

Syahrul Rozaq Ar.Rosid. 2025. The Effect of Implementing a Problem-Based Learning Model with Wordwall Assistance on Student Learning Outcomes in the Electrical Power System Protection Course. Thesis. Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, FKIP, PGRI University Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Nurulita Imansari, M.Pd., (II) Ihtiari Prastyaningrum, S.Si., M.Si. This study aims to analyze the effect of the problem-based learning model with the assistance of the Wordwall application on student learning outcomes in the Electrical Power System Protection course. The problem-based learning model combined with the interactive Wordwall media was used to improve students' critical thinking skills and understanding of electrical power system protection concepts, particularly in protection material. This study used a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design and involved 11 fourth-semester students from the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program at PGRI University Madiun in the 2024/2025 academic year. The instruments used included multiple-choice tests (pretest and posttest), validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the average score from 60% in the pretest to 79.64% in the posttest. Pearson's correlation test yielded a value of r = 0.825 with a significance of 0.002 (< 0.05), indicating a positive and significant relationship between the use of problem-based learning with the Wordwall application and the results.
