Abstract
Zulfie Masruroh, 2025. Implementation of Leveled Reading Books and Guided Reading Strategies to Improve Reading and Writing Culture in Grade III Students of SDN 2 Sukorejo, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency. Thesis, Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Postgraduate Program, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, SS., M.Pd., Supervisor (II) Dr. Panji Kuncoro Hadi, SS., M.Pd Keywords: increasing reading, writing Culture, book Readings Tiered Approach in this research is qualitative approach with descriptive method that is method that collecting data, investigate and process data with qualitative approach. Techniques used in data collection in the form of observation, interview, documentation study, and questioner or questionnaire. While for data analysis using observation technique to teacher and student and also to assess student learning result. The indicator of success in improving student learning outcomes in this study is seen from 75% of students complete KKM (KKM 75). The results obtained from three posttest shows that 90% of students pass the KKM at the end of cycle 3 for reading lessons. Then there are 87% of students who pass the KKM at the end of cycle 3 for writing lessons. Therefore, this research succeeded in improving student learning outcomes. The average score of student performance at the end of cycle 3 increased, which was only 62 for reading lessons, then increased to 77.4. While in the writing lesson, which was 62 increased to 76 at the end of cycle 3. As for the student visits keperpustakaan seen improvement, seen in cycle 1 there are 3.2% (1) students who visit the library. Then, in cycle 2 there are 35.5% (11) students who visit the library with a value> 75. While in cycle 3 there are 90% or 28 students who visit the library with a value> 75. For literacy movement shows an increase, from the indicator the success of the literacy activity is> 75. The progress of the literacy activities performed seen in cycle 1 there are 6.5% (2) students who do literacy activities in school. Then, in cycle 2 it increased to 54,8% (17) students doing literacy activity with value> 75. While in cycle 3 there were 93,6% or 29 students doing literacy activity with value> 75.
