ABSTRACT Tri Wulandari. 2025. Improving Narrative Writing Skills Through the Contextual Learning Model in Class V Students of SDN Tambakmas 03 Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency. Theses. Keywords: writing, narratives, model, and contextual This research aims to describe and explain (1) the use of contextual learning models can improve learning to write narratives for class V students at SDN Tambakmas 03, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency, and (2) learning outcomes for class V students at SDN Tambakmas 03, Kebonsari District, Madiun Regency in learning to write narratives. through a contextual learning model. This research is classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this research are (1) In cycle I, students were quite active with an average score of 11.55 or included in the quite active category (C). In cycle II, student activity increased to 13.50 or entered the active category (B). The use of contextual learning models can improve student results in writing narratives. This is proven by the improvement in students' writing scores. The results of teacher performance assessments in each cycle also increased. To assess the teacher's ability to prepare lesson plans in cycle I, the average score obtained was 3.08. In cycle II it increased to 3.5. The results of the teacher performance assessment in implementing learning in cycle I obtained a score of 3.2. In cycle II the average value obtained increased to 3.6. (2) Student learning outcomes in cycle I, the student's lowest score was 58 and the student's highest score was 81. In cycle II, the student's lowest score was 61 and the student's highest score was 85. The completeness of student learning outcomes increased. In cycle I there were 15 students or 75% who achieved complete learning outcomes (obtained a score of 61 and above). In cycle II, student learning completion increased to 20 students or (100%) students completed learning.
