Abstract

ABSTRACT Atik Puji Lestari. 2025. Improving Poetry Writing Skills through the Application of a Combination of Outdoor Learning Method with Word Map Method for Fourth-Grade Students of SDN Ketawang, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency. Thesis. Master Program of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate School, PGRI University of Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Dwi Setyadi, M.M.; (II) Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M.Pd. Keywords: Poetry Writing, Outdoor Learning, Word Map, Classroom Action Research. This study aims to improve the poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students of SDN Ketawang through the application of a combination of outdoor learning method with word map method. The research method used is classroom action research, consisting of two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results show that the application of the combination of outdoor learning method with word map method can improve students' poetry writing skills, as seen from the increase in average scores and students' ability to develop creative ideas. This study concludes that the combination of outdoor learning method with word map method is effective in improving the poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students of SDN Ketawang.
