Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of the bamboo weaving home industry on the social and economic life of the community in Ringinagung Village, Magetan District, Magetan Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the interactive data analysis model by Miles and Huberman. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of home industry owners, employees, community leaders, and local residents. Data validity was tested using source triangulation. The findings show that the bamboo weaving home industry originated from the initiative of local residents seeking to improve family and community welfare through the provision of employment opportunities and increased income. The development of this industry has contributed to improving the community’s standard of living, but has also led to shifts in social values. Overall, the presence of the home industry has had a significant impact on the socio-economic conditions of the Ringinagung Village community.
