Abstract

Dimas Adi Saputra (2025) authored a thesis titled "Design of a Sales System for Medical Devices at the Website-Based Surya Medika Ngawi Store." This academic work was submitted to the Informatics Study Program within the Faculty of Engineering at PGRI Madiun University, under the guidance of Advisor (I) Muh Nur Luthfi Azis, S.Kom., M.Kom. (II) Yoga Prisma Yuda, S.Kom., M.Kom. Toko Surya Medika Ngawi, a retail establishment specializing in medical devices, currently relies on a manual system for recording sales and managing inventory. This method frequently results in data inaccuracies and suboptimal stock control. Consequently, this research endeavors to create a web-based sales system for medical devices, aimed at streamlining and automating the processes of record-keeping, inventory tracking, and transaction management in real-time. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was employed in the system's creation, encompassing stages such as requirements planning, architectural and functional design, system construction, and its subsequent implementation into the store's operations. The system's foundation is built upon PHP and CodeIgniter, serving as the primary technologies for both the backend and frontend, with MySQL utilized as the supporting database management system. The outcomes of this development indicate that the system effectively provides administrators with an easy means to log product details, automatically monitor stock levels, and manage sales transaction data more efficiently. The system's functionality has been rigorously verified to ensure it operates as intended.
