Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of animated learning media on the learning outcomes of 11th grade students at State Senior High School 2 Magetan on the topic of the human nervous system. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of an experimental class of 35 students using animation media and a control class of 36 students using PowerPoint. Learning outcomes were measured through multiple-choice tests, and the effectiveness of the media was assessed through student response questionnaires. Data analysis utilized normality, homogeneity, and Independent Sample T-Test. The results indicated that t-calculated = 2.492 > t-table = 2.000, meaning there was a significant effect of using animated learning media on student learning outcomes, with a probability value of sig. 0.015 < 0.05. In conclusion, animated learning media significantly influences learning outcomes because it can visualize complex concepts interactively, increase student interest and motivation, and provide an engaging learning experience. This study supports the use of animation technology in biology education.
