Abstract
This study aims to develop the binaksawa (binder aksara Jawa) as a learning medium for teaching Javanese script writing to third-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study was conducted at SDN Bagi 02, Madiun Regency, involving 14 third-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Validation was carried out by media experts, material experts, and language experts. The validation results showed that the binaksawa media received feasibility scores of 93% from media experts, 96% from material experts, and 94% from language experts, which fall into the very feasible category. In addition, limited trials using pretest and posttest indicated an improvement in students’ Javanese script writing skills, with average scores increasing from 56% (pretest) to 84,3% (posttest), marking a gain of 28,3%. Thus, the binaksawa media is considered feasible for use in Javanese script writing instruction at the elementary level, as it significantly enhances students’ understanding of script forms and writing skills.
