Abstract
The results of observations conducted at SDN 2 Mangkujayan show that in the implementation of Indonesian language learning, there are teachers who are lacking in implementing learning, especially in reading literacy. The causes of these obstacles include 1) the rapidly developing digital era, which makes it more convenient to use gadgets, 2) learning media that are not attractive enough to students' attention in reading, and 3) comic learning media that are not innovative enough. The type of research in this study is development research. The research method used is research and development. One of the development models that will be used in this study is the ADDIE model. This chapter discusses the stages of learning media development carried out in accordance with the research process. The development of digital comics follows the ADDIE model, which consists of five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Digital comic media was developed using the ADDIE model to improve the reading literacy of phase C students. Expert validation results showed a validity of 85% (highly valid). Teacher responses were 100% (very good), and student responses averaged 95.67% (very good). Learning outcome evaluations indicated excellent understanding of the material, with scores of 90 (90%) on the limited test and 92.5% on the comprehensive test.
