Abstract
Reading comprehension is an essential skill for elementary school students to master. Without a good understanding of reading, students will struggle to follow more complex learning at the next level. This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension in Phase B of Indonesian Language through the application of the PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review) learning model supported by e-books. The background of this study is based on students' low ability to comprehend narrative texts, as evident from observations and initial evaluations in fourth-grade students at Wildani Islamic Elementary School. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 14 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and reading comprehension tests. The results showed a significant increase in students' reading comprehension after the application of the PQ4R model supported by e-books. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the PQ4R learning model supported by e-books can effectively improve students' reading comprehension in Phase B.
