Abstract

This research aims to develop an Augmented Reality-based learning medium called Wayang Edu Reality as a means to improve cultural literacy and learning interest among fourth-grade elementary school students, particularly in the subject of wayang genealogy. The media development was conducted using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results found the medium to be highly suitable for use. This was demonstrated by validation results from media experts (88.4%), material experts (100%), and practicing teachers (94.83%). The Wayang Edu Reality medium also proved effective in assisting fourth-grade students at SDN Klagenserut 01 in understanding the material and strengthening local cultural literacy, particularly wayang culture, through an innovative and interactive approach. Wayang Edu Reality is a relevant alternative learning medium because it combines modern technology with local cultural values. Students' mastery of digital literacy also supports the optimal use of this medium as a means to improve cultural literacy through contextual and enjoyable learning.
