Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of corporate environmental performance on corporate financial performance and to analyze the role of good corporate governance as a moderating variable. The study population consists of energy sector companies listed on the stock exchanges of the ASEAN-5 countries (Indonesia Stock Exchange, Bursa Malaysia, SGX Singapore, PSE Philippines, and SET Thailand) during the 2021–2024 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 49 companies over four years (196 observations). A quantitative approach was employed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), with data processed via SPSS version 25. The results indicate that corporate environmental performance has a positive and significant effect on corporate financial performance. Furthermore, the moderation test results show that good corporate governance does not influence the relationship between corporate environmental performance and corporate financial performance.
