Improving Descriptive Writing Skills Using Systemic Writing Strategy Assisted by Photo Media in Fifth Grade Students of Bandarkedungmulyo 2 Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency. Keywords: writing, description, systemic writing, and photo media This study aims to describe (1) the application of systemic writing strategies assisted by photo media can improve writing learning in fifth grade students of Bandarkedungmulyo 2 State Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Bandarkedungmulyo 2 State Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency in learning to write using systemic writing strategies assisted by photo media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are: (1) the application of systemic writing strategies can improve writing learning in fifth grade students of Bandarkedungmulyo 2 State Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency. This is proven in cycle II students are more active during the learning process, students pay attention to the teacher's explanation and have high enthusiasm and motivation in learning. Students' focus, activeness and enthusiasm are increased because the teacher explains the material in an interesting way. The teacher explains the material while giving games to students and giving jokes so that the class atmosphere is not tense and the students are not tense in learning so that students are more enthusiastic about learning, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Bandarkedungmulyo 2 Elementary School, Bandarkedungmulyo District, Jombang Regency in learning to write using a systemic writing strategy assisted by photo media have increased. This is indicated by the fact that in cycle I, out of 6 students or 25% of students achieved learning completion, while in cycle II, as many as 22 students or 91.6% of students achieved learning completion and classical learning completion was achieved. The average value of cycle 1 was 52.21 with an incomplete category. While in cycle 2, the average value was 84.71 with a complete category.
