Abstract

Advances in digital technology call for innovation in instructional media to enhance student interaction and learning outcomes in abstract IPAS topics, such as the Earth’s rotation and revolution. Based on a needs analysis at Sumber Public Elementary School, instruction is still dominated by lectures and conventional PowerPoint presentations, resulting in suboptimal interaction and cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to develop a ClassPoint-integrated PowerPoint presentation that is appropriate and effective for improving interaction and cognitive learning outcomes among sixth-grade students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model and involved 18 sixth-grade students at Sumber Public Elementary School, Pangkur Subdistrict, Ngawi Regency. Data were collected through observation, expert validation questionnaires, student responses, and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, paired-sample t-tests, and N-Gain. The results showed that the media were highly suitable and received an excellent response. The average learning achievement increased from 56.67 to 85.00, while learning interaction increased from 71.94 to 85.83. The paired-sample t-test revealed a significant difference (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), with an N-Gain of 0.56, categorized as moderate. This medium is suitable and effective in supporting active, interactive, and student-centered IPAS learning.
