Abstract
The surging popularity of TikTok among adolescents has led to patterns of social media usage that tend to be excessive. This study was conducted to assess the extent to which self-control and peer conformity contribute to the frequency of the app's usage at SMA Negeri 1 Karas. Employing a correlational design and a quantitative approach, the study involved 75 Grade XI student respondents selected via proportional random sampling from a total population of 299 students. All data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests with the aid of SPSS software. The analysis revealed that self-control and peer conformity simultaneously exert a significant influence on the intensity of TikTok usage, with a calculated F-value of 497.017 and a significance level of 0.000. Statistically, these two variables explain 93.2% of the variation in the subjects' social media usage intensity (R² = 0.932), while the remaining 6.8% is attributed to factors not identified within the scope of this study.
