The Implementation of the Project Based Learning Model Assisted by Serial Picture Media to Improve Simple Narrative Writing Skills of Fifth-Grade Students at SD Negeri Losari Ploso. Thesis. Madiun: Master's Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, M.Pd.; Supervisor (II) Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, M.Pd. This study was motivated by the low level of simple narrative writing skills among fifth-grade students of SDN Losari Ploso Jombang. Most students experienced difficulties in developing ideas, organizing story sequences coherently, and applying correct spelling and punctuation, resulting in learning outcomes below the expected standard. This study aimed to improve students' simple narrative writing skills through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by serial picture media. This study employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The participants were 32 fifth-grade students of SDN Losari Ploso Jombang in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by serial picture media improved students' simple narrative writing skills. Learning mastery increased from 34.68% in the pre-cycle to 75.56% in Cycle I and reached 90.65% in Cycle II, with an average class score of 85.56. Therefore, the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by serial picture media was effective in improving the simple narrative writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Losari Ploso Jombang.
