Improving Narrative Writing Skills Using the Project Based Learning Model Assisted by Picture Media for Fifth Grade Students of Mojoduwur 1 Elementary School, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency. Keywords: writing, narrative, project based learning model, and image media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the project based learning model assisted by image media can improve narrative writing skills in fifth grade students of Mojoduwur 1 State Elementary School, Mojowarno, Jombang and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Mojoduwur 1 State Elementary School, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency in learning to write narratives using the Project Based Learning model assisted by image media. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the project based learning model assisted by image media can improve narrative writing skills in fifth grade students of Mojoduwur 1 State Elementary School, Mojowarno, Jombang, there is an increase. This is evidenced by the results of student observations in cycle I, namely 97% of students were present during the learning process; 86% of students paid attention to the teacher's explanation; 38% of students actively asked questions and expressed their opinions; 54% of students were able to work together with their group members; 54% of students were responsible for doing assignments; 70% of students were able to compose narratives; 70% of students completed assignments on time; 54% of students were able to draw conclusions about what they had learned; and 10.6% of students engaged in other activities during the learning process. The results of the second cycle of student observations were 100% of students present during the learning process; 98% of students paying attention to the teacher's explanation; 75% of students actively asking questions and giving opinions; 90% of students being able to work together with their group members; 90% of students being responsible for doing assignments; 90% of students being able to compose narratives; 98% of students completing assignments on time; 90% of students being able to draw conclusions on what had been learned; 88% of students reading narratives in front of the class; and 2.3% of students doing other activities during the learning process and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Mojoduwur 1 Elementary School, Mojowarno, Jombang in learning to write narratives using the Project Based Learning model assisted by image media increased. This was evidenced by the average score of student learning outcomes in cycle I of 66. In cycle II, the average score of student learning outcomes increased to 95.
