Rina Tri Wahyuni. 2026. The Effect of Digital Teaching Materials and Self-Confidence on Speaking Skills of forth-Grade Students at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Parang, Kabupaten Magetan. Thesis. Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA). Supervisor I: Dr.V.Teguh Suharto,M.Pd, Supervisor II: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh,S.S, M.Pd. Keywords: digital teaching materials, self-confidence, speaking skills. This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of fourth-grade students at public elementary schools in Kecamatan Parang, Kabupaten Magetan, caused by limited variations in teaching materials and suboptimal psychological support, particularly self-confidence. The objective is to examine the effect of digital teaching materials, self-confidence (high vs low), and their interaction on speaking skills. This study employs a quantitative approach with a 2x2 factorial design. The subjects were fourth-grade students. Data were collected through speaking skills tests and self-confidence questionnaires, then analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The findings reveal that: (1) there is a significant difference in speaking skills between students using digital teaching materials and those who do not, with the digital group performing better; (2) there is a significant difference between students with high and low self-confidence, with the high self-confidence group achieving better outcomes; and (3) there is a significant interaction between digital teaching materials and self-confidence, indicating that the effectiveness of digital materials is more pronounced among students with high self-confidence. In conclusion, digital teaching materials and self-confidence significantly affect speaking improvement, so teachers are advised to integrate digital materials alongside strengthening students' self-confidence.
