Abstract
Ayun Nafi’ah Rhesnandya Surya, 2026. Penerapan Model CTL Berbantuan Media Boardgame Edukatif Untuk meningkatkan Literasi Sains Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Skripsi Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pembimbing (I) Dr. Hendra Erik Rudyanto, M.Pd. (II) Dr. Fida Rahmantika Hadi, M.Pd. Scientific literacy is a crucial 21st-century competence, yet its implementation in Indonesia remains low as indicated by PISA studies ranking Indonesia 70th out of 78 countries. A similar condition was observed in grade V at SDN 1 Siwalan Mlarak, Ponorogo, East Java Province, where students' scientific literacy was low, with initial classical completeness reaching only 19% (3 out of 16 students) and an average score of 62.5. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted over two cycles. Each cycle encompassed four major phases: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects were 16 fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Siwalan during the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were gathered through testing (scientific literacy evaluation on the Human Respiratory System), observation (teacher and student activity sheets), and documentation. Data analysis integrated descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches to measure the class average and classical completeness percentage. The results revealed a significant improvement across cycles. In the Pre-Cycle phase, student completeness was only 19%. Following the implementation of the CTL model integrated with educational boardgame media in Cycle I, the completeness percentage rose to 56% with a class average of 76.88. Refined actions in Cycle II led to optimal improvement, achieving 94% classical completeness (15 students passed) and raising the class average to 86.56. Furthermore, student learning activity percentages increased from 79% (good category) in Cycle I to 91% (very good category) in Cycle II. The application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by educational boardgame media is proven effective in enhancing scientific literacy and learning activity among fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Siwalan on the Human Respiratory System material. The combination of a contextual approach and board-based game media successfully fosters an interactive, meaningful, and joyful learning environment for elementary school students. Keywords: CTL Model, Educational Boardgame, Scientific Literacy, Elementary School, Classroom Action Research.
