Keywords: writing, procedural text, project based learning, and animated videos This study aims to describe and explain (1) the use of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with video assistance can improve the writing skills of fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Sawoo, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Sawoo, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to write procedural texts using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with video assistance. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the use of the project based learning (PjBL) model with video assistance can improve the writing skills of fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Sawoo, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency. This is proven by the results of observations that show an increase from cycle I to cycle II in several aspects, including aspects of student enthusiasm during the learning process, student enthusiasm when watching videos, effectiveness and enthusiasm of students when using the project based learning model and video media in procedural texts, and student activity and enthusiasm in learning reflections., and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Sawoo, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to write procedural texts using the project-based learning (PjBL) model with video assistance increased by 7.70% from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the average score achieved by students was 82.25, becoming 87.95 in cycle II.
