Keywords: reading, beginning, repetition method, and picture media This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the repetition method assisted by image media can improve reading comprehension learning of class II students of SD Negeri 4 Sooko, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of class II students of SD Negeri 4 Sooko, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency in learning to read using the repetition method assisted by image media. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study, namely: (1) the application of the Repetition method assisted by image media can improve the beginning reading of class II students of SD Negeri 4 Sooko, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency, there was an increase. This is evidenced by the value of teacher activity of 69.11% in the good category, increasing in cycle II to 91.17% in the very good category. The value of student activity in cycle I was 77.94% in the good category, increasing in cycle II to 95.58% in the very good category, and (2) the learning outcomes of second-grade students of SD Negeri 4 Sooko, Sooko District, Ponorogo Regency using the repetition method assisted by picture media can improve students' initial reading skills or student learning completeness. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of 3 students who have not achieved completeness individually, while the number of students who have completed is 20 people with a percentage of 86.95% both individually and classically. Based on this analysis, students have achieved the KKM that has been set.
