Improving Learning Achievement and Ability to Write Explanatory Texts Through the RADEC Learning Technique with Poster Media in Grade 5 Students of SDN Kesongo II Kedungadem, Bojonegoro Regency. Thesis. Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program Universitas PGRI Madiun. Pembimbing (I) Prof. Dr. Marheny Lukitasari, M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, M.Pd. Keywords: RADEC technique, poster media, learning achievement, explanatory text writing. This study aims to improve students’ learning achievement and explanatory text writing skills through the implementation of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning technique using poster media for fifth-grade students of SDN Kesongo II, Kedungadem District, Bojonegoro Regency. This research employed classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 12 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The research instruments included observation sheets of teacher and student activities and tests of explanatory text writing skills. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the RADEC learning technique with poster media improves both the learning process and students’ learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student achievement was below the Minimum Mastery Criteria. After the implementation of actions in Cycle I, there was an improvement in the average scores and the number of students who achieved learning mastery. A more significant improvement occurred in Cycle II, in which all students achieved mastery learning with the class average categorized as good. In addition, students’ explanatory text writing skills also improved, as indicated by more complete text structures, more appropriate use of language features, and more coherent and logical content
