ABSTRACT Amaliyah Nurul. 2025. Application of Learning to Write Descriptive Texts with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition Approach Based on Augmented Reality Media in Class V of Elementary School. Thesis. Madiun : Master of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, Postgraduate Program, PGRI University Madiun. Supervisor: (1) Dr. V. Teguh Suharto, M.Pd. (2) Dr. Sigit Ricahyo,S.S.,M.Pd. Keywords: Writing Descriptive Text, Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition, Media Augmented Reality,Canva This study is motivated by the results of preliminary observations which show that 54.05% of students have not achieved completeness in learning to write descriptive texts. The factors that cause this are: (1) teachers have difficulty in explaining the descriptive text material systematically, (2) teachers are not optimal in guiding students during the writing process; (3) teachers have not been able to increase students' interest in writing activities, (4) teaching methods are less effective causing low motivation to learn to write descriptive texts. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the application of learning to write descriptive texts with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition approach based on Augmented Reality media in grade V of SD Negeri Sidomukti I reviewed from student activities. (2) To find out the application of learning to write descriptive texts with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition approach based on Augmented Reality media in grade V of SD Negeri Sidomukti I reviewed from teacher activities. (3) To find out the application of learning to write descriptive texts with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition approach based on Augmented Reality media in grade V of SD Negeri Sidomukti I reviewed from the learning outcomes of students. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The research subjects consisted of researchers as teachers in grade V of Elementary School and students totaling 16 students. The data collection techniques used are tests and non-tests. The data obtained was then processed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that student activities in learning to write descriptive texts with a score of 785 with a percentage of 75.77% in the first meeting, and increased in the second meeting to 885 with a percentage of 85.43%. The percentage of classical completeness of learning to write descriptive texts increased from 70.27% in the first meeting to 100% in the second meeting. The conclusion obtained from the results of the research regarding the application of learning to write descriptive texts with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition approach Based on Augmented Reality Media in Grade V of Elementary School, is the increase in student activities, teacher activities and student learning outcomes.
