Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the Inquiry Learning method and to examine the improvement of Indonesian language skills of second-grade students at SDN Guyung 2, Gerih District, Ngawi Regency through the application of Inquiry Learning. The background of this research is the low level of students’ Indonesian language skills, which include listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Indonesian language instruction that is still dominated by conventional methods tends to limit student participation and critical thinking. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a learning method that actively involves students in the learning process, one of which is the Inquiry Learning method.
