Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of picture-assisted instructional media on the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Guyung 2 Ngawi. The background of this research is the low level of students’ learning outcomes caused by instructional practices that are still dominated by conventional methods and the limited use of engaging learning media that suit the characteristics of elementary school students. Picture media were selected as an alternative instructional medium because they present information concretely, attract students’ attention, and facilitate better understanding of learning materials.
