Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the planning of role-playing learning methods using visual media in learning descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency, (2) the implementation of role-playing learning methods using visual media in learning descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency, and (3) the effectiveness of role-playing learning methods using visual media in learning descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. The results of this study are (1) the planning of role-playing learning methods using visual media in learning descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency was carried out by the teacher well and efficiently because the teacher made a learning plan, (2) The implementation of learning using role-playing methods using visual media in learning descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students of SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency ran smoothly and in accordance with the planning that had been made with the sequence of preliminary, core and closing activities, and (3) the research conducted by SDN 3 Sonobekel, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency on the use of role-playing methods using visual media in descriptive writing skills for fourth-grade students can be stated as effective and there is an increase. This can be seen from the students' scores which have increased and reached the predetermined KKTP, namely 75.
