Keywords: listening, storytelling, and video scribe This study aims to describe and explain (1) the use of video scribe can improve the listening skills of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Jatipunggur, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Jatipunggur, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to listen to fairy tales using video scribe. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the use of video scribe can improve the listening skills of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Jatipunggur, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency. This is proven by the increase in student learning activities through the use of video scribe media which is marked by increased student learning activity in the learning process according to the results of observations during the classroom action process. The average value obtained by students after taking the final test from cycle I to cycle II after the implementation of learning media increased, namely from 55 in cycle I to 84.16 in cycle II, and (2) the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Jatipunggur, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to listen to fairy tales using video scribe experienced improvement. This was proven in cycle I, from 2 (16.7%) students achieved learning completion, while in cycle II as many as 10 (83.3%) students achieved learning completion and classical learning completion was achieved. The application of video scribe media can also involve students more actively in the learning process. This is shown by the increase in activity from cycle I to cycle II.
