Abstract
This research was motivated by the low motivation and learning outcomes of students in the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Banjarejo, Madiun City. This problem was caused by learning methods that lacked variety and the use of media limited to textbooks, making the learning process monotonous and less engaging for students. The purpose of this study was to improve students' IPAS motivation and learning outcomes through the implementation of Google Sites-based interactive learning media. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages in each cycle. The subjects of this study were 28 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Banjarejo, Madiun City. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation, while data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed a significant increase in students' motivation and learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle condition, student motivation and learning mastery only reached 35.71%. After the intervention in Cycle I, student learning motivation began to increase, with 71.43% of students in the high category; however, learning outcomes had not yet met the classical success indicator. In Cycle II, there was an increase in learning outcomes that met the established success indicators, reaching 89.29%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Google Sites interactive learning media is effective in improving IPAS motivation and learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Banjarejo, Madiun City.
