Mat Sholeh. 2025. The Use of Field Trip Method Assisted by Video Media to Improve Descriptive Text Writing Skills of Grade VI Students at SD Negeri Klino IV, Sekar District, Bojonegoro Regency. Thesis. Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA). Supervisor I: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hanif, MM., M.Pd., Supervisor II: Dr. Kodrat Eko Putro Setiawan, M.Pd. Keywords: Field Trip, Video Media, Writing Skills, Descriptive Text. This study aims to: (1) describe the use of the field trip method assisted by media in teaching descriptive text writing to Grade VI students at SD Negeri Klino IV, Sekar District, Bojonegoro Regency; (2) improve the descriptive text writing skills of Grade VI students at SD Negeri Klino IV, Sekar District, Bojonegoro Regency through the use of the field trip method assisted by video media. This research was conducted using a classroom action research design. The research stages were arranged from the pre-cycle stage, Cycle I, to Cycle II. The research subjects were Grade IV students selected based on certain considerations. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the use of the field trip method assisted by media in teaching descriptive text writing was able to create a more contextual, active, and meaningful learning process for Grade VI students at SD Negeri Klino IV, Sekar District, Bojonegoro Regency; (2) the implementation of the field trip method assisted by video media was proven to gradually improve students’ descriptive text writing skills from the pre-cycle to Cycle II.
