Keywords: reading, aloud, method, and demonstration This study aims to describe (1) the application of the demonstration method can improve reading aloud skills in grade III students of SDN 1 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of grade III students of SDN 1 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to read aloud using the demonstration method. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the demonstration method can improve reading aloud skills in grade III students of SDN 1 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency, there was an increase in student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II. This is evidenced by the indicator in cycle I of students who were present during the learning process of 97% increasing to 100% in cycle II; Students listened to the teacher's method of demonstrating how to read aloud reading texts with correct pronunciation, intonation, and pauses by 53% increasing to 98% in cycle II; Students actively ask questions and express their opinions by 44%, increasing to 83% in cycle II; Students demonstrate how to read aloud reading texts with correct pronunciation, intonation, pauses, and pauses by 44%, increasing to 94% in cycle II; Students demonstrate how to read aloud reading texts properly by 44%, increasing to 94% in cycle II; Students complete assignments on time by 44%, increasing to 94% in cycle II; Students are able to draw conclusions about what has been learned by 44%, increasing to 94% in cycle II; and Students who do other activities during the learning process (making noise, playing, disturbing friends, going in and out of class) by 21%, decreasing to 2.3% in cycle II, and (2) The learning outcomes of class III students of SDN 1 Sawahan, Lengkong District, Nganjuk Regency in reading aloud learning using the demonstration method have increased, namely the average score of students' learning outcomes in cycle I was 64, increasing in cycle II to 90. The students' reading aloud learning completeness also increased, where in cycle I, out of 10 (33%) students achieved learning completeness, while in cycle II, 27 (90%) students achieved learning completeness and classical learning completeness was achieved.
