Abstract
This research was motivated by the limited availability of varied learning media, which makes it difficult for students to understand the material on local cultural diversity. The objective of this study was to produce a suitable and effective KABULOK KOMAD quartet card media to improve interest and learning outcomes in fourth-grade science students in Madiun City. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with Sugiyono's 10-stage model. The results showed that the KABULOK KOMAD media was "Very Suitable" based on validation by experts (93.10%) and educational practitioners (92.38% of educators; 98.4% of students). The product's effectiveness was evident in the increase in learning interest from "Fair" (5.44) to "Very Good" (13.13). Cognitive learning outcomes also improved significantly, with an average pre-test score of 46.25 and a post-test score of 85.32. This success is reinforced by the N-gain score of 0.70 (High category) and the results of the paired sample t-test in three schools which showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. It is concluded that the KABULOK KOMAD quartet card media is feasible, practical, and effective for use in science learning.
