Abstract
Early childhood education is an initial educational institution in which many activities and curricula focus on children’s growth and development. One important aspect is character building in schools, where early behaviors displayed by children indicate learning responses or absorption of information from their surroundings. In the school learning environment, teachers need appropriat methods to instill positive character from an early age. This research employed a qualitative approach using a qualitative survey method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in Group B at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 18 Kota Madiun. The study aimed to explore the implementation of reward and punishment in the learning process conducted by the classroom teachers in Group B. The findings show that the teachers have implemented reward and punishment in learning activities, but they have not yet established a written plan regarding the types of rewards and punishments used, as these were often decided spontaneously. Nevertheless, in practice, the teachers still referred to the teaching module as a guide.
