ABSTRACT Rahayu Nofitria. 2025. Implementation of Fluidsim Software to Support Trainers in the Electrical Motor Control Practice Course in Enhancing Students’ Critical Thinking Skills. Thesis. Study Program of Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Ir. Sulistyaning Kartikawati, M.M., M.Pd., (II) Dr. Nurulita Imansari, S.Pd., M.Pd. Technological advancement demands Human Resources and the quality of education to develop rapidly, one of which is through the pattern of critical thinking skills. The use of technology in learning can also contribute to success in both theoretical and practical aspects. Through software-based media such as Fluidsim, learning in the Electrical Engineering Education Study Program can be supported, especially when using physical media such as trainers that may suffer component damage due to errors in electrical circuit assembly, making it less efficient in terms of time and cost. The application of Fluidsim Software is therefore required to foster students’ critical thinking skills and to examine the extent of its influence and students’ responses after its implementation. The research method used was a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a One Group Pretest and Posttest design as well as a response questionnaire. The percentage data obtained from the Pretest was 50.27%, and after being given treatment in the form of a Posttest, it increased to 83.18%. Meanwhile, the response questionnaire showed a result of 91.28%, with the majority of answers being “strongly agree,” which was interpreted as highly positive regarding the application of Fluidsim Software to students’ critical thinking skills. It can thus be concluded that the implementation of Fluidsim Software can effectively influence and support simulation-based practicum learning in the Electrical Motor Control Practice Course.
