Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interactive snakes and ladders learning media on student participation and learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject of grade IV of Patihan Madiun Elementary School in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a quasi-experimental design. The subjects were students of grade IV A (experimental class) and 15 students of grade IV B (control class) at Patihan Madiun Elementary School in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was carried out through pretests and posttests to measure learning outcomes, as well as observation sheets to measure student participation. Data analysis was carried out using an independent t-test. The results showed that interactive snakes and ladders learning media had a significant effect on student participation and learning outcomes. For learning outcomes, the t-test showed a significance value of 0.010 <0.05, indicating a significant increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. Similarly, for student participation, the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant increase in participation in the experimental class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 95.67, higher than the control class which was 90.00, and the average participation rate of the experimental class was 35.07, higher than the control class which was 31.73. It can be concluded that the use of interactive snakes and ladders learning media has an effect on student participation and learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject.
