Abstract
Technological advances in education require teachers to use innovative and interactive learning media to make learning more interesting and effective. However, based on observations at SDN Terung, science learning on human and animal organs in grade V still uses the lecture method and rarely uses interactive media, resulting in low student understanding and many students have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive media based on Articulate Storyline (AS) in improving fifth-grade students' understanding of human and animal organs. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were all 25 fifth-grade students at SDN Terung. The research instruments were pretest and posttest questions that had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discrimination power. The study was conducted in three stages: administering a pretest, implementing learning with AS-based interactive media for several meetings, and administering a posttest. Data analysis was carried out using normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-test tests using SPSS. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding scores after the treatment, with an average pretest score of 38.68 increasing to 77.36 in the posttest. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This proves that interactive media based on Articulate Storyline is effective in improving students' understanding of human and animal organs. The use of this media makes learning more interesting, interactive, and encourages active student involvement, making it a suitable alternative for science learning innovation in elementary schools.
